Dive in the reef Scorpions located in PROGRESO downtown, with beautiful crystalline water where you will discover the impressive marine architecture. You will also be able to enjoy the aquatic sports as the ski and jetski.

Enjoy the different spectacles that are carried out all the year long, like presentations of theatre and dance in the Theatre Peon Contreras, the Regional Theatre and in stock and parks of the city, feasts that are tradition as “serenatas”, marimba music, ballet and other acts that are offered in a free way.
Be delighted with the Yucatan's gastronomy, with an enormous variety of plates as the diverse main courses based on pork (like the bean with pig or the poc chuc), Turkey (as the black backfill) and deer that are a tradition of the place. Do not forget to test the lime soup, the papadzules, salbutes and the chili sauce call Pibil accompanied with exotic beverages as the Xtabentún that is a rum done with the honey of a flower of the same name and the Horchata made of rice

Visit the archaeological zone of Dzibilchaltún, located 14 miles from Merida, place where you will find the gigantic Well of Xlacá, and place in which specialized divers will also be able to deep in its beautiful waters.
And for Golf lovers, in Merida you will find The Yucatan Golf Club, that offers to its visitors a beautiful golf course of 18 holes, in an extension of 6,605 yards.
In the northwest, on the limit of the state, 62 miles from Merida, the Celestun Biosphere Reserve is found, considered as one of the most important wetlands of the peninsula, and sanctuary of species as the marine tortoise, crocodiles, cute, jaguars, deers and a large quantity of migratory birds like the elegant rose flamenco. The reserve has a surface of more than 80 thousand hectares. The travel in boat, will permit you to admire and to photograph the zone.
